Elegance with attitude and delicacy. Sisters lorena and laura andrade founded their brand in 2013, determined to broaden the horizons of brazilian fashion, transforming it into something cosmopolitan and feminine without losing sight of their own unique style. Using a small-scale production model, the duo cut out the clichés of current trends to prioritize quality in their materials and their own exclusive detailing.

Llas expresses care and an “atelier” approach in everything it does. Be it in the searching out of fabrics, in the customization of pieces, finessing research for the development of its collections and even in the choice of professionals involved in the production chain, nothing is overlooked. That level of care is clear when we encounter their final product. Treasure-hunting for haberdashery and adornments imbued with the strong emotional presence of brazilian culture – so often forgotten by contemporary brands – the designers make their creations even more personal and exclusive.

The pieces have an unpretentious and contemporary sophistication, which before they were ever seen by the public at large had garnered a sort of “seal of quality” from brazilian fashion gurus, such as the entrepreneur costanza pascolato, the journalist lilian pacce and the editors of brazilian vogue.  The brand has won prizes in various competitions, such as movimento hotspot (2013), promoted by luminosidade, and ready to go (2014), promoted by sindivest-mg. Llas gained even more visibility in 2014 after launching a special edition collection – which flew off the shelves and rapidly sold out – in partnership with the fast fashion giant, riachuelo.

The first brand presentation during the autumn/winter são paulo fashion week 2015, in addition to drawing gasps from the press and industry influencers, helped tell the story of fashion in and from the state of minas gerais from a different angle. Llas deconstructed the typical references of the state’s visual identity, which in general is guided by a baroque aesthetic, with richly worked embroidery and stones, and reinterpreted the decorative scheme, making it fresh, urban and highly accessible to women of every different style.

A fashion outside time, cosmopolitan and full of personality, which enchants, confronts any sort of stereotype and, above all, moves.
